PRACTICAL
ASSESSMENT
When
you have completed the knowledge component of the units above, a
practical assessment form is sent to you so
you can complete the practical element that makes up the unit. A period
of practical experience in an approved workplace is usually required
before assessment, unless you have already had some practical
experience. When both the knowledge and practical components of a unit
have been completed, the unit can be registered with NZQA. It is
essential that practical learning and assessment locations are found as
early as possible to allow time for practical experience to be gained
before the end of term 3 (for school students) .
You
will need to make all arrangements re: assessments of practical
skills (including costs) directly with the approved practical
assessor in your area.
Assistance
can be provided to students in finding placements by contacting the administrator or you can contact Dudley
Brown at the New Zealand Equine Industry Training Organisation
(NZEITO) equineito@xtra.co.nz or phone 0800 84 11 11 to enable you
to complete the practical requirements of the course.
